LIFE BAETULO presentation at the 48h Open House Barcelona 2021
LIFE BAETULO project was presented to visitors of the “La Estrella” stormwater retention tank in Badalona during the 48h Open House Barcelona 2021 held on October 23 and 24.
Attendees were able to learn about the objectives and characteristics of the project and consult the informative leaflets with the most relevant information. The project tasks being carried out so far, and the expected results were approached to the visitors.
LIFE BAETULO project consists of implementing an Integrated Early Warning System (IEWS) for climate change adaptation in Badalona and increasing resilience to climate hazards. Early warnings activation by the system will allow preventive, corrective, and recovery actions to minimize the impacts and damage resulting from extreme weather episodes in the city.
This system can be applied and implemented in any other location that wants to reduce the adverse climate change effects by minimizing the exposure and vulnerability of people and urban assets facing climatic hazards.
